A thong lift is a surgical procedure that lifts the buttocks and creates a firmer, rounder shape. The thong lift procedure is different than a butt lift because the incision is smaller and well hidden in the crack of the buttocks.

A thong lift is also different from an infragluteal thigh lift. The Thong Lift Procedure

The thong lift procedure is primarily for patients who have a boxy or drooping lower inner part of the buttock. The surgery is performed in a prone position under general anesthesia. Incisions are made along the lateral aspect of the central vertical buttock crease and arch out to the bottom of the buttock-infragluteal area so the incisions are well hidden. The surgery takes approximately 2-3 hours to perform. Most patients feel well within a few days and can perform exercise after 10 days.

Am I a Candidate for a Thong Lift?

During your consultation with Dr. Chasan, your medical history will be reviewed, your aesthetic concerns discussed, and he will cover your options for achieving the bottom you’ve always wanted. At this time he will determine if you’re a candidate for a thong lift. Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:

The Recovery Period After a Thong Lift

Expect bruising, swelling, and discomfort to last for one or two weeks. It is important to rest and follow Dr. Chasan’s post-operative care instructions to ensure you heal well.
Most patients are able to return to work and light activity within ten days.

After four weeks, patients can return to light to moderate exercise. Wait until Dr. Chasan gives the okay before resuming strenuous exercise.

Results After a Thong Lift

The results are a shapely, curvy booty that is higher and lifted. This appealing look is flawless, with the only visible scar covered by a thong. Hence the name, “thong lift.”

Some of the transferred fat is naturally absorbed by the body, which is taken into account during the procedure. After this settles out, the final results are seen in about one month.
