Dr. Cameron Francis, board-certified plastic surgeon, is among the nation’s fastest rising stars in aesthetic plastic surgery. A standout for his technical abilities and consistently outstanding, natural-appearing results, he is also known for the warmth and personalized care he provides his patients. Dr. Francis is a San Diego native. His training spans the region’s most premier institutions—UCLA for undergraduate, UCSD for medical school, and USC’s elite six-year integrated plastic surgery residency, where he trained under some of the world’s most well-known and respected plastic surgeons. Following residency, he completed his aesthetic plastic surgery training with Dr. Paul Chasan. Now with his own thriving plastic surgery practice, Dr. Francis performs a full range of cosmetic procedures of the breast, body, and face. Dr. Francis is also on staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he performs reconstructive plastic surgery for facial trauma patients. His wife Nicole is an intensive care doctor for premature babies, and they have three young children together.

Having launched his medical career with a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and a medical degree from UC San Diego’s School of Medicine, Dr. Francis next completed a two-year research fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery, and a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency. His extensive education and experience come together in the operating room for a confidence-building bedside manner and results that are as empowering as they are impeccable.

Anesthesia

With all the effort that goes into choosing your plastic surgeon, you should be equally confident that you are getting the very highest quality of anesthesiologist. Ranch & Coast has a unique and exclusive arrangement, using just 4 of the 34 board-certified anesthesiologists from Scripps Memorial Hospital. These hand-picked professionals represent the finest anesthesia care available in the San Diego area. In addition, here at Ranch & Coast, we have developed unique preoperative medications protocols that reduce post-surgical discomfort and vastly improve our patient experience.

Nursing

We believe that a knowledgeable staff naturally provides a much safer and more superior service. Thus you’ll find not medical assistants, but fully trained and licensed Registered Nurses at Ranch & Coast. Our four RNs have also worked here for no less than 10 years, and unlike many other practices, their duties aren’t split between the operating room and other recovery duties.

Overnight Stay

We pride ourselves as one of the only plastic surgery centers in San Diego with its own 23-hour overnight stay capability. This ability provides our patients a much-needed additional level of service and care for such comprehensive procedures as a mommy makeover, facelift and other surgeries where more than one procedure is being performed in a single session. Beyond the obvious safety this provides, it also improves pain management and greatly elevates your personal experience as a patient.

Breast Surgery & Implants

Because personalized service is so central to Ranch & Coast, you’ll find more than 100 sizes and styles of breast implants here, helping you find the perfect fit for your ideal body. Sizers are also used in almost every breast surgery, helping us provide carefully curated, ideal outcomes that look and feel as natural as possible. While most surgeons only use a limited number of implants pre-purchased for the day of surgery, and operate with a patient lying down throughout the procedure, our operating room is specially equipped to allow us to safely sit our patients up mid procedure, to assess your results in both sitting and laying down positions.

Ranch & Coast incorporates the very latest advanced and offers the most modern surgical and nonsurgical techniques for full body rejuvenation. In addition to major cosmetic surgeries, we also offer dermal fillers and Botox performed by our plastic surgeons or Nurse Injectors, all of whom are thoroughly trained and experienced in injectables. We are also the only plastic surgery practice in north county with two Coolsculpting machines, allowing for faster non-invasive fat-removal from a master Coolscupting technician.
