What Is Daxxify?

Daxxify is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable treatment used to help smooth moderate to severe glabellar lines.

What Should I Expect During the Procedure?

If you’re interested in Daxxify treatment, the first step is to schedule a quick consultation with one of our doctors at Ranch & Coast Plastic Surgery. They will evaluate your aesthetic goals and work with you to devise an effective treatment plan. The doctor will also need to know about any allergies and medications you’re currently taking.

The treatment will be administered as an outpatient procedure and shouldn’t take 20 or 30 minutes. First, a topical anesthetic will likely be applied to the treatment area to ensure no pain. Then, your injection professional will use a fine needle to inject Daxxify into the area between your eyebrows. Once the treatment is finished, you should be able to return home immediately.

How Long Is the Recovery Time?

You won’t need to worry about significant recovery downtime after Daxxify treatment. Although some patients avoid strenuous exercise for a few days, you’ll be fine to jump back into your regular daily routine.

How Long Will It Take To See Results After Daxxify?

Most patients see results very quickly after Daxxify treatment. You may notice the positive effects only one or two days after the procedure, and those results can last anywhere from six to nine months.

Am I a Candidate for Daxxify?

Adults interested in a long-lasting remedy for glabellar lines may be good candidates for Daxxify. Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

Are There Any Side Effects?

Daxxify can cause specific side effects, but most of them are minor. The most common side effects include:

Headaches
Swelling
Bruising
Redness
Injection site pain, rash, or itching

In sporadic cases, the neurotoxin found in Daxxify can spread to other body parts. When this happens, it can cause a severe condition called botulism.
